Our HistorySpotted Eagle Inc. began as the Milwaukee Area American Indian Manpower Council, Inc. (MAAIMC) in 1974, as a 501C3 non-profit employment and training program. Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, MAAIMC provided services to American Indians in Southeastern WI. It was established for the purpose of serving the needs of off-reservation American Indians in an urban area with education, employment and training services.
MAAIMC in partnership with the Milwaukee Public Schools, a division of small community schools, Milwaukee Area Technical College, and the Indian Community School of Milwaukee established Spotted Eagle High School in 1994. the significant drop-out rate among American Indian high diploma is a significant barrier to entering the workforce. High School and became Spotted Eagle Inc. and operated for the next 10 years. |
The former Spotted Eagle High School location closed its doors permanently in 2012. In an effort to continue providing employment and training to adult American Indians in Southeastern WI, Spotted Eagle Inc. relocated to its current location at 6767 West Greenfield Avenue West Allis WI 53214 in the lower level of the Tri City Bank Building.
